It was a cold February day in Arlington National Cemetery. I had been there photographing all day. I cried at two funerals of young soldiers I didn't know. I was freezing and emotionally and physically spent.
If I felt like this after one day. What was it like for the soldiers that did this every day?
I came back and started a close-up and behind-the-scenes look at The Old Guard soldiers that render honors to the interred at Arlington National Cemetery. This project includes rare moments, meaty captions, and personal insights from the soldiers.
You rock!
